Delhi's delighted with Trade Fair . . .


The stage is all set for the India International Trade Fair 2011 (IITF) to be held at Pragati Maidan from today till November 27. This annual extravaganza conducted by India Trade Promotion Organisation is one of the world's leading trade shows 


 India International Trade Fair 2011 (IITF) is opening today with an array of products and services to the visitors as well as business associates. Through its Special Display sections of Techmart it will showcase the innovative technologies and products and technologies of small and medium enterprises. Saras will highlight tribal and rural handicrafts, while Good Living will focus on products and goods relevant to daily living. At the fair there will be something or the other for everyone. This year, the Fair will be based on the theme of 'Indian Handicrafts - The Magic of Gifted Hands.' 



 Neeraj Gupta, Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation(ITPO) says, "For lovers of Indian handicrafts - this is one show you must not miss. More than 800 talented artisan who are supported by Ministry of Rural Development , will be showcasing and selling their work at the rural development pavilion." This year the partner states are Jharkhand and West Bengal . 




The focus states are Bihar and Orissa. Apart from handicrafts from 27 states and a varied range of cuisine from 22 states, products from 26 countries will also be showcased at the fair. The overseas participation will be from countries like Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh,Belarus , Canada, China, Cuba, Iran, Kazakhstan, KyrgyzRepublic , Pakistan, South Africa,Thailand, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. 

Like every year, this year too, IITF will be providing vibrant and varied option to satiate your taste buds with fine spread of delicacies from across the country. 

The fair will open today (November 14) for business visitors. For general visitors the fair will be open from November 19. Clearly, there's no limit to the fun you can have at the Trade Fair. So be there and experience the show!
