Wildlife Photography Tour: Jim Corbett

This 2N - 3D journey will take participants through one of the most pristine and wild ecosystems across India for a truly unforgettable experience and unparalleled photographic opportunities. Anyone with a camera and a keen interest in nature is welcome to join, including both beginning and experienced photographers. Although photography coaching will be available, this trip is not a ‘workshop’ and the itinerary has been tailored to maximize time spent in the field acquiring photos in the natural environment. Time will be made on most evenings for reviewing images and discussing specific techniques. Building relationships with the people who share the same passion for nature & wildlife photography is an important part of this tour.

Photographers of any nationality are welcome.

Itinerary at Arrival
Day 1 (Introduction to the forest) 

  • Reach at Ramnagar booking office at 11:00
  • Check in to the resort: The resort is one of its kind 4 star property; the property though being a 4 star property will still ensure that you are kept close the nature at the same time will give you all the luxuries and comfort. Multi cuisine restaurant will ensure that you taste buds are tickled every time you take a bite. The location of the property will also ensure that less of time is spent on travelling since the property is in close proximity with all the must see places during your stay.   
  • Lunch at 13:30 Hrs
  • Post lunch move for bird safari and nature walk to witness the beauty that surrounds the area of Jim corbett, while the trekking is on one can witness some amazing bird species that are both residential and migratory to the area. Some excellent scenes to capture from photography point of view.
  • Bird Safari ends at 18:00 Hrs
  • Back to camp for evening tea at 19:00 Hrs
  • Drinks and cocktail snacks at 19:30 Hrs
  • Dinner at 21:30 Hrs
  • Post diner move for night safari at 22:30 Hrs: its during this time one gets the opportunity to capture some very rare night behaviour of different animals and if one is really lucky you can also witness the king (Tiger) move at night

Day 2 (The Wild day)

  • Wake up call at 04:30 hrs
  • Early morning tea
  • Board into gypsy and move for safari : Jim Corbett covers a total of 520 sq km of tourist zone and though it is practically impossible to cover the entire forest however safari would be at one of the prime tiger habitat, the place is surrounded by lush green grasslands with a blend of mountains, while the prime objective of safari will be to capture the king move freely in the wild however during the safari one can also get great shots of other amazing animal population that corbett holds within. With the Ramganga River flowing all across the forest one can also spot some very rare species of birds and otters which we must have only read about in different books and publications.
  • Back from safari to the resort at 10:30 Hrs
  • Breakfast at 11:00 Hrs
  • Lunch at 13:00 Hrs
  • Board into gypsy and move for another round of safari at 13:30 Hrs : if we are not lucky the first time, here is another opportunity for Tiger Sighting.
  • Back to camp at 18:30 Hrs
  • Tea at 19:00 Hrs
  • Drinks and cocktail snacks at 19:30 Hrs
  • Dinner at 21:30 Hrs
  • Post diner move for night safari at 22:30 Hrs: its during this time one gets the opportunity to capture some very rare night behaviour of different animals and if one is really lucky you can also witness the king (Tiger) move at night

Day 3 (The Farewell)

  • Wake up call at 07:00 Hrs
  • Early morning Tea
  • Breakfast at 08:30 Hrs
  • Post checkout Visit Museum at Dhangarhi gate at 11:00 Hrs: This museum talks only abut Corbett and gives you an overview of what corbett is all about. One can also witness some artefacts about Corbett in the museum, interested in knowing if a tiger and an elephant fight who would win? The answer is there at the museum, see for yourself the size of the tiger who fought with an elephant throughout the night and later forest official found the body of both the tiger and the elephant. Their bodies have been preserved for all to see. This is just an example of what the museum stores for us.
  • Visit to Kosi river at 11:30 Hrs: India being a land of rivers, one can find at least one holy river in every state and Uttaranchal is no different however from a photographers point of view the river allows us to capture some of very rare and endangered species of fist, crocodile and tortoise.    
  • Visit Garjia Temple at 12:00 Hrs: This temple has a story of its own and we actually need to see it to believe it. A temple on a cliff top, a definite sight to capture. Garjia Devi under whose name the temple is known is said to be one of the sisters of Vaishno mata and this name need no explanation.
  • From this point we finally conclude our trip and head back to Delhi but with a promise to visit the place once again.
